A 3-Star Texas Rising Star Preschool
Explorers at K2 is a 3-star Texas Rising Star school. Texas Rising Star is the state’s quality rating for child care, so our classrooms, teachers, and curriculum have been reviewed and rated by the state, on top of our license.
Literacy, math, and science run through every day in hands-on projects. By the end of pre-K, our kids are reading, doing basic math, and ready socially and emotionally for kindergarten. And because we’re inside K2 Academy, they get gym and playground time every day too.
We care for babies from 6 weeks through pre-K, plus before and after school. We’re open 6:30am to 6:30pm with full-time and part-time spots, and we accept CCS child care subsidies.

Tuition
Our tuition is competitive with the market, and based on program hours and includes access to our curriculum and gym facilities as well as healthy snacks and meals.

Siblings of enrolled students and alumni have priority admission. Class sizes are small to maximize learning and quality socialization. If there are more applicants than spaces, our schools operate on a waiting list.

Tax Savings Opportunities and Incentives
We know that childcare can be expensive, which is why we offer so much value for our tuition and access to additional resources for qualifying families. It’s why we also work with our local, state, and national leaders to advocate for additional support for families and Early Learning Centers.
To further support our families we make every effort to partner with companies to help support affordable family care. Please let us know if your company is interested in partnering with us to offer more affordable options for families. We love being creative and finding ways to partner to support our families and the communities we serve.
Also, we work to help our families understand their eligibility for additional savings through tax credits and savings incentives focused on relieving the cost of child care for eligible taxpayers. These include:
The Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, a federal tax credit available for eligible taxpayers to assist in reducing your year-end tax liability.
The Child Tax Credit program, which may reduce the Federal tax you owe for each qualifying child under the age of 17.
A Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) which may be provided by your employer to allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for child care costs.
These tax credits and FSA changes will impact every family differently. As we are not tax professionals, we cannot advise you on the specific impact to your family.
